The Course

The practical course will be run through a series of four interactive ninety minute webinars with accompanying resources and exercises. The webinars will take place from 11am to 12:30pm BST on the dates below. But don’t worry if you can't make a session as we’ll offer catch up recordings and exercises.

Module 1: Develop Your Idea & Plan Your Shoot

Thursday May 14, 11am BST 

Plan how your video will meet your objectives and find the best way to hook in viewers. Design a film setup that's tailor-made to your role and personality and plan your script.

Module 2: Presenting and Filming

Tuesday May 19, 11am BST

Learn video production skills to expand your capacity for making successful viral videos at home.

Module 3: Editing and Distribution

Thursday May 21, 11am BST 

Introduction to editing videos optimised for social media including tools. Learn how to set up and execute a distribution strategy including organic seeding.

Module 4: Online Training and Interviews

Thursday May 28, 11am BST

Learn what makes great online training and how to use the Zoom platform for interactive and effective sessions. Run through a practice media interview.

The Details

The course is hosted over four 90 minute Zoom calls over two weeks starting on the week of 11th May.

The course has 20 places and places are given on a first come, first served basis.

The workshop is designed for charities, NGOs, campaign groups, researchers and other parties using video for good causes. If you are unsure about which ticket would be most appropriate then please get in touch with [email protected]

Catch up recordings will be available to course members who are unable to attend a particular session.

Cancellation of the training is only possible in writing (by mail or e-mail). If you cancel before the beginning of the course, 50 percent of the price is due, thereafter the full price will be due.

If you can no longer make it, you can be replaced by a colleague.

VAT is not due on top of the ticket price.
